Changes to grass cutting operations

The Council agreed that the grass cutting budget would be reduced for 2025/26. In order to achieve this we have changed the frequency of some of our operations:

• Ceased cutting large areas of open space grass throughout West Dunbartonshire.
• Ceased maintaining banking’s that are difficult to cut.
• Changed all open space grass cutting from three weekly to monthly.
• Reduced grass cutting within public parks by 25%.
• Changed weed killing from twice per year to once.
