Fireworks and Fun at Levengrove Park
Published 14 October 2025
West Dunbartonshire’s annual Fireworks Display is back this year, promising a fun-filled evening of entertainment for residents of all ages.
This year’s event will take place on Wednesday 5th November at Levengrove Park, Dumbarton, with gates opening from 6.30pm and the fireworks display beginning promptly at 7.30pm.
The 20-minute show will feature a range of exciting fireworks, including comets, mines, spinners, hummers, whistles, and strobes, and will light up the sky in an array of colours.
The build-up to the main event starts at 7pm, and visitors will be able to enjoy hot food and drinks, as well as a small children’s fun fair and music.
Visitors are recommended to arrive early and take public transport wherever feasible, as parking restrictions will be in effect and there will be no official event parking. There are two train stations (Dalreoch and Dumbarton Central) within a 5 – 10 minute walking distance of Levengrove Park and bus stops on Risk Street, Quay Street and Bowie Street.
People are being reminded not to bring their own fireworks or sparklers, as these pose a safety risk in large groups, to leave pets at home, and follow advice from stewards at all times during the event.
Councillor Clare Steel, Chair of West Dunbartonshire Leisure Trust, which is staging the event on behalf of the Council, said: "We are delighted to be hosting our free fireworks display again this year. Residents and visitors are encouraged to come to Levengrove Park to enjoy a fantastic show suitable for the whole family. We expect the event to be popular, therefore we recommend that visitors use public transport - both train and bus services are available nearby. If you must drive, please observe the parking restrictions in the surrounding area and be considerate of the park’s neighbours."
