Streamlined online housing application will make process easier for citizens

Citizens across West Dunbartonshire can now benefit from a streamlined process when applying for social housing.
Following an agreement between the Council and six local housing associations, a brand new online form was launched this month. This means households can now complete a single online housing application rather than requiring multiple forms for different landlords.
The approach aims to make accessing social housing simpler.
The housing associations participating in the scheme are Caledonia Housing Association; Clydebank Housing Association; Cordale Housing Association; Dalmuir Park Housing Association; Knowes Housing Association and Trafalgar Housing Association.
Councillor Gurpreet Singh Johal, Convener of Housing and Communities, said: “This is a significant step in making social housing more accessible for our residents. By reducing the need for multiple forms, we’re putting people first and ensuring that applying for a home is as straightforward as possible.”
Councillor Hazel Sorrell, Vice Convener of Housing and Communities, added: “We’re proud to be working in partnership with our local housing associations to deliver a unified application process. This change reflects our commitment to improving services and supporting tenants.”
