Get Set Personal Development Programme for Young Women (16–24)
Empowering young women to build confidence, overcome barriers, and move toward a positive future.
The Get Set Programme is a supportive personal development journey designed for young women aged 16–24 who have left school and are ready to take their next steps with confidence.
What We Do
The programme helps girls and young women to:
- Recognise their strengths and self-worth
- Build confidence, resilience, and communication skills
- Explore their values, needs, boundaries, and wellbeing
- Overcome barriers such as digital access, ID issues, financial challenges, and health concerns
- Connect with peers, reduce social isolation, and take part in fun group activities
- Develop essential life and work skills
- Move towards training, education, volunteering, or employment
- Access wider opportunities through Working4U and partner services
Programme Highlights
- Up to 10 weeks of support
- Weekly 3‑hour engagement
- One‑to‑one sessions with a youth worker
- Workbooks designed specifically for girls and young women
- Confidence‑building activities, skills development, and wellbeing support
- Small, nurturing group sessions
- Group‑chosen trips and activities (art, sport, local attractions, Go Ape, etc.)
Qualifications
Participants gain 2 SQA Units in Self‑Awareness and Wellbeing
