Living in Innellan on the South Cowal peninsula Valerie is surrounded by coastline and forestry,these ancient landscapes traced and tracked with shifting markers of past and present lives,are a generous source of inspiration.

As a multi-disciplined artist and workshop practitioner Valerie uses a variety of materials, techniques and experimentation including papermaking, printmaking and ceramics. Pigments and Place is Valerie's research into growing, foraging and extracting plant and coastal rock pigments and how the resulting colours and textures inform her work.
Valerie studied Sculpture and Arts Practice with Community Engagement in Cork. She recently exhibited at the Southbank Centre in London as part of the Miniprint exhibition.

This event is FREE but ticketed thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund Scotland. The venue is fully accessible. If you have an specific needs please do let us know.
