Circle Dancing is an ancient, joyful tradition found in cultures around the world—bringing people together to celebrate, connect, and share energy in community.
The modern Circle Dancing Movement took off in North Scotland in the 1970s and 80s—and growing. Around 2014 Circle Dance For All, initiated teachers training. Today you’ll find groups across Scotland, including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Milngavie, Peebles, Paisley, and beyond.
Modern Circle Dancing brings people together to share the joy of traditional & modern world music, with beautiful choreography. We dance around a centre piece created by experienced dancers in the group. There are no audience & no partner required. Suitable for adults no previous experience required. Each dance is mindfully taught and there are no wrong steps just variations. ‘If you can walk you can Circle Dance is the philosophy. Pre-Registration required for Free Taster Sessions. Do Wear comfortable clothes & shoes. There is a mid session cuppa break.
