Intro to Pottery with David Gillanders

We are delighted to introduce a beginners pottery class in West Dunbartonshire with tutor David Gillanders.

In the intro class, we will make a Matcha-style tea cup (pinch pot style) and a matching saucer. Participants will explore carving and decorating with handmade Hakeme brushes, construction techniques, scoring, marking, decorating, painting, and underglazing. Finished work will be fired off-site and returned after several weeks to the library for collection. It's a lot of fun!

This is a small class, so there is more time for the tutor to help you create your masterpiece.

David Gillanders is a potter and photographer, and recently taught pottery at the Art Department in Paisley.
