The Art of Recovery: Masking and Unmasking Domestic Abuse
Thursday 14 May ( 10:00 - 17:00 )
Centre 81 , 2-16 Braes Avenue, Whitecrook, Clydebank, G81 1DP
The Art of Recovery is and art exhibition that has been created by the Authentic Voice Panel who are a group of women living in West Dunbartonshire with lived experience of domestic abuse. The aim of the group is to raise awareness and campaign for change to enable women and children to live equally, safely and free from domestic abuse.
This community event is the first exhibition from the group, bringing solidarity and hope to other women and children surviving and recovering from experiences of violence and abuse.
Join us for this interactive survivor-led exhibition exploring the hidden realities, impact and hope for recovery from domestic abuse. The event is suitable for all ages and is family friendly.
The exhibition has been created by the members of the group and showcases their artistic expression of recovery journeys.
Come along and join us to engage, to learn, and to stand in support of a future free from abuse.
