Grass Pitch Inspections

Pitch inspections will take place on Friday morning’s preceding a weekend game. Any midweek games will be subject to an inspection the morning of that game. Should any pitches be deemed unplayable, contact will be made via email to each team affected by no later than 12 noon on the day of inspection.

The referee may also declare a pitch unplayable.  There will be no charge in these circumstances.  The referee must report this decision to the caretaker and fill out necessary paperwork.

Block Bookings

The block booking of a pitch is for official games as per league fixtures and cup ties.  Block bookings are not accepted for training or for friendly matches.

Sharing of a Park

Where teams are sharing on a fortnightly basis, those teams MUST arrange their fixture list in conjunction with each other.  If not in possession of a fixture list the team you share with will not automatically be allocated the pitch if you cancel your booking, they will have to contact the booking office with their booking request.

Responsibility for the clearance of the pitch and surrounds at the end of each game rests with the home team.

Venues that are not cleared may affect future bookings.

Under Section 87 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, any person who throws down, drops or otherwise deposits in, into or from any place to which this section applies, and leaves, anything whatsoever in such circumstances as to cause, or contribute to, or tend to lead to, the defacement by litter of any place to which this section applies shall be guilty of an offence.

Offenders will receive a Fixed Penalty of £80.  Local Authority Officers and Police Officers will issue these penalties.  The maximum penalty on conviction is £2500.
