About the Bookbug Bags

Every child in Scotland receives four free Bookbug Bags between birth and age five. The bags help little ones develop an early love of stories, songs and rhymes.

Bookbug Sessions

Bookbug sessions are fun, FREE 30 minute sessions for babies, toddlers and their Parents & Carers.

Bookbug Baby Bag

The Bookbug Baby Bag is gifted by your health visitor when your baby is 3–5 weeks old.

Bookbug Toddler Bag

The Bookbug Toddler Bag is gifted by your health visitor when your toddler is 13 to 15 months.

Bookbug Explorer Bag

Usually given out at nursery when your child turns 3

Bookbug Primary 1 Bag

Your child’s school should be in contact with you about the P1 Bag
