West Dunbartonshire Council is seeking new Expressions of Interest from local groups for the Regeneration Capital Grant Fund (RCGF) 2027/28.

The RCGF is a Scottish Government fund which supports locally developed regeneration projects. The Council is looking for applications from local groups, charities or individuals that have a well-developed project that can spend or commit any funding by the end of March 2028.

Projects should:

  • focus on areas that suffer from high levels of deprivation and disadvantage
  • demonstrate clear community involvement
  • deliver large scale transformational change with strong regeneration outcomes
  • encourage additional investment and address market failure in communities

The RCGF is proposed Scottish Government funding which is still going through their budget approval process.  Applicants should be aware that a successful submission to the RCGF does not guarantee that your project will be funded.

How to apply

Download the EOI application form.

The deadline for Expressions of Interest is 9am on Monday 27th July 2026, and they should be sent to regeneration@west-dunbarton.gov.uk

All EOI applications will be evaluated, and applicants will be informed of the outcome by Friday 31st July 2026.

Only the strongest projects, which best meet the RCGF criteria, would be worked up as a Stage 1 application. The timeline is short, so a quick turnaround is needed to enable applications to be completed and submitted by the Scottish Government deadline of Friday 14th August 2026.

If you have a project, you believe is eligible for the fund and would like to discuss it prior to submitting an EOI, please contact us at the above email address to arrange a call.

Applicants must read the Scottish Government’s RCGF Stage 1 (Expression of Interest) Guidance before submitting an application.
