West Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership is delighted to announce the appointment of Caroline Sinclair as its new Chief Officer.

Caroline comes to West Dunbartonshire from her current role as Assistant Chief Officer for Older People and Primary Care at Glasgow City HSCP, and brings a wealth of experience in health, social work and social care gained over the past 30 years.

Previous experience includes being head of service and later chief officer of HSCP services in East Dunbartonshire, as well as 15 years at Orkney Health and Social Care Partnership, working in a variety of social care service roles before being appointed chief officer.

“Over the past 30 years, I have held a wide range of roles across integrated health and social care services, from frontline positions to senior leadership. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing our services and will serve me well in West Dunbartonshire.

“I am committed to working closely with partnership colleagues, the wider Council, community partners and stakeholders to ensure the diverse needs of residents are understood and met effectively.

“While public services continue to face significant challenges, I am excited about the opportunities ahead and very much looking forward to working positively with, and for, our communities.”

Councillor Michelle McGinty, Vice Chair of WDHSCP Board, said: “I am pleased to welcome Caroline to West Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership.

“Her extensive leadership experience and commitment to health and social care will be invaluable as we navigate the challenges ahead and continue to deliver high-quality services for the people of West Dunbartonshire.

“I look forward to working together to build on the strong foundations already in place and deliver the best possible outcomes for our communities.”

West Dunbartonshire Council’s Chief Executive, Peter Hessett, said: “I extend a very warm welcome to West Dunbartonshire to Caroline. Her breadth of knowledge from across health and social care make her an asset to the area and its communities, and as we continue to transform services and respond to the changing needs of our population, the whole senior team very much looks forward to working alongside Caroline.”

Professor Jann Gardner, Chief Executive of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, said: “I would like to congratulate Caroline on her appointment as Chief Officer of West Dunbartonshire HSCP. Her experience, leadership and collaborative approach will be a tremendous asset to West Dunbartonshire

“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Beth for her dedication and leadership over many years of public service.
