A Stopping Up Order is a legal order under Sections 207 or 208 of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997.

When there is a need to stop up a road, footpath or bridleway permanently to enable a development to be carried out in accordance with planning permission granted under Part III of the aforementioned Act, we must promote a Stopping Up Order.

This order is for the stopping up of the access to Bank Street Car Park in Alexandria in order to enable development of planning application DC24/100/FUL for the construction of sheltered housing. The development includes a new point of access to the car park. Plans for the approved development can be viewed online on the Planning Register.

If you have any reason to make objections or representation to the said Order you can do so during the consultation period specified in the Notice.

Any objections or representations must be received within the period specified in the Notice.
