Cancer doesn't just affect your physical well being it can affect every aspect of your life, from your emotions to your finances.

Macmillan Cancer Support

However often people don't know where to turn for support. That's why West Dunbartonshire Council and Macmillan Cancer Support have launched the Improving Cancer Journey Service. Our Service is here to help people affected by cancer get the support they need, whether its financial, emotional, medical or practical.

Improving the cancer journey is a service available to all cancer patients within the West Dunbartonshire Council area.

How can we help?

Once an individual gets in touch we will arrange for them to meet with a dedicated Macmillan ICJ Officer who will help them complete a Needs Assessment, a tool used to make sure the individual's needs and concerns are identified. The Macmillan ICJ Officer will work with the individual to agree the best kind of support they and their family want, putting in place a personalised care plan.

Where can we meet?

A Needs Assessment can be carried out in a variety of convenient locations including: West Dunbartonshire Libraries, council offices, by home visit or in a hospital setting.
