Independent Director
Anne Marie Brown was appointed as an Independent Director of West Dunbartonshire Leisure Trust in May 2026.
A retired Chief Executive of a local housing association, Anne Marie has over 40 years’ experience within the social housing sector, including more than 20 years in senior leadership positions. Her professional expertise includes corporate governance, regulatory and legal compliance, strategic business planning, community development, and health and wellbeing.
As a service user of West Dunbartonshire Leisure Services, Anne Marie brings valuable customer insight and a strong understanding of the importance of accessible, inclusive and responsive services. She is passionate about people, community wellbeing and promoting equality of opportunity to ensure individuals and communities across West Dunbartonshire are able to access and benefit from the Trust’s services.
Anne Marie is committed to acting in the best interests of the Trust and to using her professional experience and passion for sport, health and wellbeing to support the delivery of the Trust’s strategic objectives and priorities. She is dedicated to helping the Trust continue making a positive and lasting impact on the lives of people living and working in West Dunbartonshire.
