6. Joanne McLaren – Independent Director
Independent Director
Joanne McLaren brings over 20 years’ experience in senior leadership roles across Retail, Commercial and Corporate Banking with Santander UK, specialising in risk management, operational transformation and financial crime prevention. Joanne has extensive experience leading large-scale strategic programmes, building high-performing teams and working with senior stakeholders at Executive and Board level.
Alongside her professional career, Joanne is passionate about supporting local communities, young people and inclusive opportunities. She currently serves as a Chairperson Panel Member with Children’s Hearings Scotland and is involved in education and parent forum leadership roles within West Dunbartonshire. Joanne was previously Vice-Chair of the Dunbartonshire Youth Football League, supporting grassroots football across West Dunbartonshire, and is also an SFA qualified coach and Child Wellbeing Officer. Joanne has a keen interest in the positive impact that sport, leisure and community services can have on health, wellbeing and social inclusion across the local community.
