Since 2022 Sophie has served the constituents of the Clydebank Central as a ward Councillor. She has a background of working in the third sector and in research based roles.
She has a lifelong interest in sports - having grown up playing netball for local teams, has a keen interest in football and has taken up tennis as a hobby in recent years.
Councillor Traynor is dedicated to improving the lives of people within West Dunbartonshire and hopes to use this opportunity as a board member to create a positive difference by improving access to leisure and sports facilities across the authority area and pushing for better opportunities for accessible sports.
