Early Start Clubs

The Council actively supports and subsidises the provision of Early Start Clubs within our Primary Schools. The aim of the Early Start Club is to provide a low cost meal at the start of the school day and this underpins our commitment to health and well-being.  Early Start Clubs provide other benefits including: positive effect on pupils’ concentration and performance throughout the day; helping to improve pupil attendance and punctuality, and can lead to better social interaction between pupils.

Fees

Current fees from 1 August 2026 - 31 March 2027 are outlined below.  Fees increase annually in April due to annual inflation increases.

Normal Daily Rate - £2.21

If the child is entitled to FSM (concessionary rate)
