Marriages and Civil Partnerships

No more than 50 people to attend a marriage or civil partnership ceremony.  Venues must also continue to be able to safely accommodate those attending, with appropriate physical distancing and other safety measures remaining in place.

From 8 August wearing a face covering will become compulsory at certain indoor premises.  Everyone attending an indoor marriage or civil partnership service in a place of worship or wedding venue or Registration office will be required by law to wear a face covering. This also includes the couple to be married or entering into a civil partnership. children under the age of 5 are not required to wear a face covering.

We want your marriage ceremony or civil partnership ceremony to be a personal occasion that you will always remember and our Registrars are happy to discuss any additional enhancements with you.

As well as the opportunity to add readings, poetry or music we can include options such as Hand Tying Ceremonies, Sand Ceremonies or a Unity Candle within your big day.

Our team of experienced Registrars will be with you every step of the way from taking your booking, conducting your ceremony and issuing you with your marriage or civil partnership certificate.’
