Temporary Traffic Restriction Order - A814 Dumbarton Road, Bowling

Section 14 RTRA 1984 – 5-day notice

Notice is hereby given that under Section 14 of the Roads Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA), as amended and by any other relevant legislation, use of the following roads by the undernoted types of use / classes of vehicle will be prohibited for the stated period of time.

Name of Road: A814 Dumbarton Road, Bowling

Restriction: Road Closure on (A814) Dumbarton Rd from it’s northern extended kerb line with Littlemill Court in both directions, for a distance of 270 metres or thereby.

Date of Restrictions: From 26th May 2026 for up to 5 days when appropriate signs displayed.

Dumbarton Road, Bowling will be shut from its junction at Dunglass roundabout overnight on 26/05 from 22:00 to 06:00 on 27/05 to allow for utility works to be undertaken. All works are in connection with the Exxon Project.

Reason for Restriction: Utility works in connection with Exxon

Classes of Vehicle Prohibited: All classes except emergency service vehicles, those permitted by signs & those  engaged in authorised road works.

Emergency vehicle through traffic could be prevented or at least delayed at works moving within extent of the closure.

All restrictions may only be applied in part, as & when signed / required, & will be kept to a minimum. Access to all property & for pedestrian through traffic will be maintained.
