Our Lady and Saint Patrick’s
Emily Roberts
Emily Roberts has been an outstanding pupil throughout her time at Our Lady and Saint Patrick’s High School.
She has achieved exceptional academic success, gaining eight National 5 qualifications at grade A and five Higher qualifications, also all at grade A. As part of her qualifications, Emily also scored an outstanding 100% in her Higher Maths SQA exam leading her to be awarded the Mary Sommerville Prize from the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) Scottish Board. Emily studied two Advanced Highers and another Higher this year to complete her qualifications.
As she prepares to embark on her next journey at Robert Gordon University to study Pharmacy, she does so with enthusiasm and always ready to face new challenges with optimism and resilience. Emily approaches the future with the same determination and positivity that have defined her school years. There is no doubt she will continue to thrive and make the most of every opportunity that comes her way.
Max Ryan
Max Ryan has had a very successful time at the Our Lady & Saint Patrick’s High.
Max has demonstrated strong academic success, excelling in practical subjects in Design & Manufacture and Graphics. He could see his future in a hands-on area, and this is what he has chosen to do.
He achieved 7 National 5 qualifications in S4 as well as 5 Highers in S5. He also studied a Foundation Apprenticeship in Civil Engineering in S6. This gave him the opportunity to combine theory and practice with a work placement with McTaggart Construction which he really enjoyed.
As the Depute Head Boy, he had great success making a huge contribution to the charitable aspects of school life. He also Captained the school football team as well as having a successful career playing for Dumbarton under 19’s football club outside of school.
Max has chosen the “earn while you learn” route taking up a position of Advanced Apprenticeship in Shipbuilding Design with BAE Systems at Scotstoun.
We wish him all the best for the future.
