(Queens Quay — Various Locations, Clydebank)
(Temporary Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2026


The West Dunbartonshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and of all other enabling powers make the following Order:

  1. This Order may be cited as The West Dunbartonshire Council (Queens Quay — Various Locations, Clydebank) (Temporary Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2026 and shall come into operation from Monday the Twenty-ninth Day of June Two Thousand and Twenty-six and will remain in operation until Tuesday the Twenty-eight of December Two Thousand and Twentyseven.
  2. In this Order the following expressions have the meanings hereby assigned to them: 
    "vehicle" unless the context otherwise requires, means a vehicle of any description and includes a machine or implement of any kind drawn or propelled along roads whether or not by mechanical power.
    "emergency service vehicle" means a vehicle being used by the Police, Fire or Ambulance Services. 
  3. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait on the lengths of road specified in the Schedule of this Order during the period in which this Order is in force.
  4. Nothing in Article 3 of this Order shall prevent any person from causing or permitting a vehicle to wait in the length(s) of road(s) referred to in that article:
    1. the waiting of a vehicle while passengers are boarding or alighting from the vehicle;
    2. the waiting of a vehicle for so long as may be necessary to enable a vehicle to be used in connection with any building operation, demolition or excavation, the removal of any obstruction to traffic, the maintenance, improvement or reconstruction of the road, or the laying, erection, alteration or repair of any sewer or any main, pipe, cable or other apparatus for the supply of gas, water, electricity or any telecommunications system;
    3. the waiting of any vehicle being used for police, fire and rescue, or ambulance purposes.
