Temporary Traffic Restriction Order - Quarry Place, Dumbarton

Section 14 RTRA 1984 – 5-day notice

Notice is hereby given that under Section 14 of the Roads Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA), as amended and by any other relevant legislation, use of the following roads by the undernoted types of use / classes of vehicle will be prohibited for the stated period of time.

Name of Road: Quarry Place, Dumbarton

Restriction:

(1) Temporary Prohibition of Waiting (“No Waiting”) on Quarry Place for a distance of 265 metres or thereby.

(2) Temporary Road Closure on Quarry Place for a distance of 265 metres or thereby.

Date of Restrictions:

(1) No Waiting Restriction: From 15 October 2026 when appropriate signs are displayed.

(2) Road Closure: From 16 October 2026 between 08:30 and 12:00 when appropriate signs are displayed.

Reason for Restriction: Carriageway Lining Works.

Classes of Vehicle Prohibited: All classes except emergency service vehicles, those permitted by signs & those engaged in authorised road works.

Access maintained with some delays.

No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait within the restricted length of road during the period of the temporary no waiting restriction when signed accordingly.

All traffic will be prohibited from travelling through the restricted length of road during the period of the road closure, except emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works and those specifically authorised on site.

All restrictions may only be applied as and when signed and required and will be kept to a minimum. Access to property and pedestrian through traffic will be maintained where reasonably practicable.
