Cameron Courtney

Cameron CourtneyCameron has thrived at Choices and fully embraced the opportunities available, particularly cooking and outdoor pursuits. He has made a number of friendships and forged good relationships with staff who helped him sustain his attendance. Cameron became a valued and influential contributor to school life and along with another students, made a significant input into a school event for parents, contributing greatly to its success.

Cameron worked hard and achieved his N4 English, N4 Business, N4 PE, N4 Applications of Maths and also achieved at N4 level in Decorative Painting. Cameron also successfully completed the School/Vocational College programme, gaining an award in the Professional Cookery course.

Cameron was awarded the Duke of Edinburgh Award at Bronze level and also achieved the Kings Trust Award at SCQF Level 4.

Cameron has shown great commitment outwith school and successfully completed Work Experience Placements at Glasgow Construction Training Centre and at Tullochan Trust, where he gained his Food Hygiene Certificate and successfully completed the Fire Reach programme with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

Cameron leaves school having secured a place at Glasgow Clyde College on their N5 General Programme starting in August 2026.

Xander King

Xander KingDuring his time at Choices, Xander made a number of significant friendships and shown commendable resilience and determination. Xander has successfully completed the School/Vocational College Programme, gaining an award in Criminology.

During his time at school, Xander worked hard achieving his N5 Literacy, N4 English, N4 Business and N4 Applications of Maths. He has also achieved N4 level in Decorative Painting, N3 Level Hospitality and Physical Education and N2 level Performing Arts.

Xander successfully attended transition opportunities and gained his Food Hygiene Certificate and First Aid qualification through Tullochan Trust.

Xander has secured a place on the NQ Introduction to Applied Science Level 4 Course at the West College Scotland Campus in Greenock.
