Luis Laurie

Luis Laurie has grown into a dependable and hardworking member of the Senior Phase cohort at Kilpatrick School. Luis is preparing for an exciting next step, having secured a place on the STEP 1 Course at Learner Development, West College Scotland, following his participation in the Getting Inspired for College programme. As a practical learner, this pathway suits his strengths well.

Luis has worked hard this year and has made steady progress in National 3 English, engaging thoughtfully with a range of texts and independently producing a well-researched persuasive essay. He also achieved his National 3 Literacy award and is on track to complete the full course. In class, he is polite, cooperative and works effectively both independently and with others.

In Mathematics, Luis showed resilience by responding positively to feedback and successfully achieving the National 4 Numeracy unit. He has also excelled in practical settings, particularly in the Barista and Enterprise classes, where he demonstrates strong teamwork, initiative and customer service skills.

Luis’ time at Kilpatrick reflects his steady progress, practical ability and an extremely positive attitude. We are very proud of his achievements and wish him every success as he moves on to further education.

Callum Stewart

Callum Stewart is a confident, hardworking and well-respected member of our school community. Callum is preparing to take his next step as he moves on to a Pathways 2 course at West College Scotland.

Callum successfully completed National 5 Art & Design, producing an impressive portfolio that highlights his creativity and dedication. His work, from detailed self-portraiture inspired by Rembrandt to imaginative body adornment designs, showed both ambition and originality. He also made a valuable contribution to Music Technology, playing a key role in sound production for the school pantomime.

In English, Callum has made good progress towards his National 3 qualifications, contributing confidently in discussions and demonstrating a clear understanding of texts while continuing to develop his writing skills. Callum also achieved the full National 3 IT in Administration award, building important organisational and digital skills.

Throughout his final year, Callum has grown in confidence and resilience, engaging positively in transition planning and wider achievements such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award. His strong relationships, teamwork and positive attitude have been a real strength.

Callum has made a lasting impression on Kilpatrick School and we are very proud of all he has achieved. We wish him every success as he moves on to college.
